The independent certification for card hobby sellers.
Search, reviews, and public verification are free for collectors. BreakCheck Certified is a paid verification process. Sellers pay for the background check, ethics training, badge, and annual review. They cannot pay to hide reviews or buy a passing result.
A real process, not a paid badge.
BreakCheck Certified requires a completed application, a third-party criminal background check conducted by Checkr, acknowledgment of BreakCheck's published ethics standards, and annual renewal.
Sellers pay the fee to enter the process. What they cannot do is pay to pass it, pay to hide reviews, or pay to avoid revocation if their conduct warrants it.
Background Check
Identity and criminal record verification by Checkr, an accredited consumer reporting agency. Covers criminal history, SSN trace, sex offender registry, and global watchlist screening.
Ethics Standards
Documented acknowledgment of BreakCheck's published code: pack integrity, accurate odds disclosure, shipping standards, and dispute conduct.
Public Record
Certification status, issue date, last renewal, expiration, and any revocations are public. Collectors can see the full history — not just a current badge.
Annual Renewal
Certification requires annual renewal. Conduct issues trigger review at any time. There is no grandfathering and no inactive grace period.

Collector tools — search, reviews, and public verification — are always free. Certification fees cover the background check, ethics process, badge, and annual review. Sellers cannot pay to influence review outcomes.
Certification can be revoked. That's the point.
A badge that can't be pulled isn't a trust signal — it's a decoration. Revocations are documented, public, and permanent on the seller's BreakCheck profile.
